on a different track
yea yea... chinese new year concert in my school... one word to describe it, "screwed"... i'm too lazy and upset to say the details... since the sec 4s are only allowed to supervise and leave the sec 3s in charge and the sec 2s to do the work... so me and one other senior just roamed around watching the rest do the work... and there came to a point i wanted to cry... oh gosh
anywayz mr. kek, our previous AV teacher-in-charge seemed pretty pleased with the lower half of the concert... i guess he was referring to the condenser shotgun mic bah... cause on previous occasions, when we use the shotgun mic for choir performance, where we would put the mics at the centre of the stage, there used to be loads loads of feedback... most of the time and even during the actual performance, we spent most of the time trying to get rid of the feedback instead of properly eq-ing the choir mics... that was before i joined sound ministry in NewCreation Church lah... grace grace... but this chinese new year concert, the guzheng performance have shifted their position from on stage to a corner of the hall, which was below a speaker as planned... i glanced at the layout, and i somehow dared put a shotgun mic there as we ran out of other equipments... mr. kek only saw the layout and the mic before the actual concert started... he came to me and say something like putting a mic so close to the speaker sure get feedback one... but i brought forth my courage to tell him otherwise, that i got the feedback issue settled... and praise God, it was a success
