forget about everything
last wednesday and thursday had bible study... special midweek services... went with Jaryl and Mark on thursday... was sitting in of course... after which Foon offered us a ride to Bedok cause he gonna eat with his caregroup at Block 85... apparently his driving skills need some touch up though... but i guess its not bad for a just-started-driver... he somehow keeps on staying on the left of the road pretty close to the shoulder... haha... i was quite scared lah... like a wrong turn and the car would kena the side of the road and i'll probably be the first to meet Jesus, since i'm sitting on the left front seatsaturday... yea, have DARE service... Foon offered to drop by and help out for setup... Benjy and Gene had school so couldnt drop by that early... haha... surprisingly, both of us cooperated really well and we actually finished setup really fast... haha... it's a blink and we're done... not bad not badi also decided to mic up the drums... using the CAD condenser mic as an overhead mic... just that i mic the cymbals off-axis... dont want it too in-the-face... i managed to get a pretty good enough overall drum sound... just that im picking up quite a lot of stage noisea few disappointments that happened during sound check which i aint happy about... firstly, the royal stewards were ultimately noisy... they were playing around making a lot of noise... then they were practicising catching people when they slain also... i told Shirmaine, the royal stewards leader... but somehow the effort was in vain... secondly, the logistics were kinda inefficient though... a handful of things were out of place and were pretty slow too... thirdly, the musicians seem to have a lot of inputs that is disturbing my sound... this i shall not elaborate... anywayz this aint the first time i encounter these problems lah... so i feedback to Peer already, who will be our new head for operations... hahasound was okay okay to me lah... not say fantastic but decent enough, kind of thing... but i have to say the musicians aint cooperating with the sound engineer... the concept still holds on... noise come in, noise goes out... periodwe had a little debrief after service... Peer brought up the matter that my mix was still uncontrollably loud... however, together with the rest of the Sound & Video department... it was not long that we agreed on one conclusion... we, as well as the other DARE youths, are often fine with the volume... it's often the DARE leaders that complain about the volume... haha... that sort of kept Peer quiet... lol... the only person that feedback to me about the volume, and about half the time i agree with is Shirmaine... no bias thoughafter that Coach Tammie asked me for my prelim results... haha... she agreed to let me continue serving in DARE through my o-levels... cause at least there was an improvement in my L1R2B2... from 20 in mid-year to 17 in prelims... not much though but will still continue to study and trust God for my ideal 12 pointsyea that's it for this week
