the mishaps
on friday... went to vivo with Gene and Jolyn... calcium silicated at the rooftop for a while... haha... damn "nuah"... then talked about whatever things that went across out mind... then after that went dinner and watched the movie Stardust... haha... pretty good show lah... but we had to catch the 2125 show cause it's the next earliest timing we can catch since Jolyn only joined us around 1800+... but didnt know the show actually lasted 2hrs plus plus... haha... at least Gene could catch the last train home... btw... calcium silicated means slacked... since calcium silicate is slag, which has about the same pronunciation as slack... so hence the equation
on saturday had DARE service... musicians were late... but cause of miscomm lah... operations say they have to reach at 1300... the music team leader say they have to reach at 1330... so anyway we still managed to run thru soundcheck fast enough to open doors at 1415... then Gene was supposed to do sound check one... but he dont know run until where do God knows what... so i had to go ahead with sound check lor... sianz... but anyway sound was great to me... tried a new thing or two... mic-ed up electric guitar with two mics... one captures the lows, the other the highs... kinda liked the effect... and the other one is of course none other than the kick drum... haha... the mix was pretty much there, i think... just that somehow the electric guitar and the keyboards just aint blending... dont know whether my fault or musicans'... haha
oh yea.. and first time i'm going to DARE service with dyed hair... a few nasty comments, but more goodie comments, mainly from musicians... haha... when i first walked in, some royal stewards people were like laughing and saying, "haha... like chicken"... but okie lah... the dog can bark and bark at the moon but the moon still shine... and Timothy was like pulling my hair everytime he gets near me... he says he's gonna do that as much as he can so as to remove my hair color... lol
another thing was that we had camp briefing lah... camp's gonna be on 27th Nov to 01st Dec... haha... it's drawing near liao... one darn funny thing the camp commandant said during camp briefing was that the campers are not supposed to wear christian-related stuff so as not to offend the malaysians there... such as those shirts that says, "PRAISE JESUS! ALL THE EARTH SHALL WORSHIP THE LORD!"... laughed my ass out... then the musicians around the soundboard was like asking me if i was going for camp... then i said ya lah... then they asked if i doing sound... then i replied, "ya kinda... Lionel taking one service, i taking another"... cause one day have two service mah... one morning one night... then Daniel was like, "wah Lionel going ah... *in hokkien* i dont wanna come liao"... hmmm... still on loggerheads eh
on sunday... officially back to serving full-time in sound ministry liao... yea... 1st and 2nd service was sent to help out at monitor... cause Lionel says Melvyn seems a little blur... sianz... then 3rd and 4th service i was doing monitor together with Anthony... today is Monitor day sia... nonetheless... a few people also commented on my hair... people like Laurence and Lionel just exclaimed super loudly, "what happened to my hair?"... but said it was nice... Jen called me Cactus Jack... Derrick just did a hand sign language, "what happened to your hair?"... Timothy was still trying to pull my hair... and Karen, "your hair looks cute"... thank God i didnt trip and fall
and another funny incident... during 4th service... there was something wrong with Pastor's mic... God bless... and Foon was sitting in... ALONE... then Pastor was like, "yoohoo... sound man... you hear that noise... dorh... any way to rectify the problem"... then i can just imagine Foon like panicking and taking out his phone to call Lionel... then Pastor was like, "com'mon talk to me... watcha doing... calling girlfriend"... haha... kena jacked sia... and Pastor was still like, "com'mon talk to me... talk to me... what should i do?"... and Foon was still trying to recover from the panic attack
haha... that sunday seems like a happening day manz... so many things that could have happened has happened... or rather should i say... that sunday seems like a mishappening day... grace grace sia
