The Judgement Day
sorry it took quite some time for me to churn out this blog post... hmmm
on 24th January 2008, Thursday... it was the judgment day for all o-level candidates of 2007... yupyup... it was the release of results
went to meet up with Mark, WenWei and Ernest at bedok interchange... then head on down to Wenwei's place cause he has yet to shower and change into school uniform, and i needed to spray my hair black... or else... God knows... manz... i think the black spray can is at least half used up after that day already... afterwhich... we went to buy bubble tea and head down to school already... still rather early when we reached school... so joined the other classmates in the canteen and waited for time to pass
finally at about 2pm... the doors were open and we went into the hall... heartbeats raised, perspirations dripped as the anxiety increases as we await the collection of results... but before that, the principal had to talk talk talk talk about how the school has done... blah blah bleh bleh... but it was quite a relief as we heard her talk... haha... especially for my class lah... she mentioned pure physics, which only our class is taking, to have 78.8% distinctions... and pure chemistry, which only our class is taking also, to have 60.6% distinctions... and our overall results beat last year's flat... goodness gracious... Mrs. Quek our physics teacher went backstage to cry for a while... haha
after that they named the top 20 scorers for our school... going by number of distinctions lah... and i was like, "wtf? how on earth did those who goes lanning almost everyday after school made it to the top scorers list"... but never mind that
after that... they finally started to distribute the results slip... yupyup... my heart almost popped out... especially when i saw some people looking rather stoned as they tried to contain their feelings... other uncontrollable ones started bursting into tears... and soon it was my turn... lol... Mrs. Quek, the form teacher, look at me, then i look at her... like conveying some kind of message via eye contact... but anyway, got the necessary documents and left
then Cheryl Ang called me up and asked where i was... then rushed to me... haha... i past her the orange slip of paper which contained the individual grades of the subjects... while i tried to open my Form A... then she counted my L1R4 and L1R5 aloud, which aint helping me... my hand was trembling as i was still peeling open my Form A... and to much of a amazement and amusement and whatever have you... what Cheryl Ang counted was so right... jesus christ!!... i screamed out loud lah... here's my results:-

truly really by Gods grace manz... God heard my prayers... i still recalled the prayers i made in the midst of exams like, "God grant me and my answer scripts favor with the markers", or "Jesus Christ. I'm writing crap here. Lord help me blind the markers for this question k?"... well... selfish and rather weird prayers... but still... all glory to Jesus Christ amen... needless to say... i'm darn happy with my results lah
apart from this... we also heard that Mrs. Chng our chemistry teacher was hospitalized and now resting at her mum's place... manz... she was one of the teachers who really put in a lot of effort in helping us leh... wanna meet her and tell her our good news also cannot
so that marks the end of the judgment day... Shimin, ChunJie, HongSiang and I lingered around in school till around 1830... haha... to meet our teachers for the last time and visit the school on our last official day... graduation day... a day of very mixed feelings... haha... sobz
