lie with me, forget the world
wow... it's been some time since I last blogged... again... now where do I start
last sunday... like I said... I aint mixing... Jason our new full time sound engineer in church was mixing... so that day was pretty much a relaxing one for me... the only sound thing I had to do was to do monitor for 1st service... since the person on duty informed that he would be late... so I stood in for him until after praise and worship... and then had to sit in 3rd service... and that's all... nothing else to stress about
on monday... Jerald rang me up asked if wanna go out... was a little reluctant lah... cause monday is a worn-out day after all the sunday services the day before one... but he was kinda pestering lah... so we went out lor... went to east coast park and rented bicycles... then were determined to cycle to suntec city... haha... went to leisure park to take a break and have a drink, then went along nicoll highway to suntec city

then on thursday... had work... finally... since february have so few events to work for... so my afternoon was spent at rock auditorium, suntec city
then on friday... had work in the morning again... reached suntec at about 0715 and worked till about 1400... then went up to the church office at 4th floor to "disturb" Anthony and Jason... haha... just to pass time before the sound ministry meeting with Deacon Jack at 1930... and that was friday for me
on saturday... had DARE service at rock auditorium... and as discussed... I do FOH and Mjay do monitor for DARE service... then Mjay do FOH and I do monitor for ARROW service... however the plan failed big big time... anyway for DARE service... I feel sad for Mjay... Jason had to do sound in the foyer... so Mjay had to do the roll of a stage manager and monitor engineer... sighz... on my end, i really really liked the sound... especially my drums... haha... Foon shared the same thought... volume wise... being a youth service... I mixed at an average range of volume of 99 - 103dB... and peaked at 108dB... haha
as next lineup was ARROW service... Mjay and I swopped duty... and when I reached monitor, I was lost as to where Mjay had left off... and so did Mjay when he reached FOH... but for him it's simply recalling the NCC template setting... but for me, i cant... so i had to spend time fixing all the changes and stuff... in the end... pastor Benjamin was pissed and he called for sound check to cut no matter if we are finished a not... bad bad... so for the musicians, and for Mjay, praise and worship was bad... but at least walkout was much better... and even pastor was being funny... Pastor went to Jen to say to do the song "My Future Decided" and "Lord Of All"... but pastor said, "My History Decided"... haha
after ARROW service... while ARROW servers had debriefing... I was on stage clearing up and getting ready for tomorrow's service... so I don't have to come that early the next day... after that Mjay and I went to Marina Square to eat at Cavana... then we were not satisfied... for Mjay was usual lah... but for me, it was rare I aint full after my first round... so went to Citilink TCC... Mjay's been rather diet-conscious these days... he ordered salmon salad... I only ate one roll of salmon while he finished all the veggie and two other rolls of salmon... I couldn't stand it... I went to order cheesecake... haha... so much better than that "low fat high protein shit" salad... haha... after that went home and slept at about 0100
after that... Foon, Mjay and I had to quickly clear the stage... then Foon pangseh-ed us first while Mjay and I had steward job to do... just for an hour and a half... haha... at least got some money to earn lah... after that Josiah, Mjay and I went to Marina Square Hong Kong Cafe to have a late dinner... Josiah's treat... thanks bro... by then we were ultra tired already lah... at least for Mjay and me lah
And here's the irritating but interesting thing... Last saturday and sunday people we know who see Mjay and me together have been saying both of us are brothers... looks alike... same kind of hair... etc etc... lol
Anywayz from last thursday... will be busy all the way... monday, which is today, is my only rest day... from tomorrow, tuesday onwards to friday... have work from early morning to evening... friday night got sound ministry training course... saturday morning Mjay and I got to setup the stage for DARE2PLAY 4 Concert at Rock Auditorium... afternoon can have lunch and slack slack a bit while the youths go outta suntec for their games... evening got sound check and night got the concert itself... and sunday, serving sunday services... thank God I ain't mixing... or I'll black out... lol

on sunday... reached suntec at about 0715 and got ready for mixing... I was trying to go for a clean and soft approach... haha... quite nice and pleasant lah... I felt... so it was so for 1st and 2nd service... until 3rd service when Lionel came down... but it wasnt so much of a regret... he just said that my mix is nice but it's a little on the safe side... and that Bob Fitts songs can afford to whack quite a bit one... haha... praise God... at least he didnt use the term "your mix sucks!" and figuratively throwing me off the PM1D sound console... haha... so 3rd and 4th service, i just whacked the volume a bit moreafter that... Foon, Mjay and I had to quickly clear the stage... then Foon pangseh-ed us first while Mjay and I had steward job to do... just for an hour and a half... haha... at least got some money to earn lah... after that Josiah, Mjay and I went to Marina Square Hong Kong Cafe to have a late dinner...
